0 REMAIN, DEAR ONE…
“O remain, dear one, I love you,
Stay with me in my fair land,
For your dreamings and longings
Only I can understand.
You, who like a prince reclining
O’er the pool with heaven starred;
You who gaze up from the water
With such earnest deep regard.
Stay, for where the lapping wavelets
Shake the tall and tasseled grass,
I will make you hear in secret
How the furtive chamois pass.
Oh, I see you wrapped in magic,
Hear your murmur low and sweet,
As you break the shallow water
With your slender naked feet;
See you thus amidst the ripples
Which the moon’s pale beams engage,
And your years seem but an instant,
And each instant seems an age.”
Thus spake the woods in soft entreaty;
Arching boughs above me bent,
But I whistled high, and laughing
Out into the open went.
Now though e’en I roamed that country
How could I its charm recall…
Where has boyhood gone, I wonder,
With its pool and woods and all?

We got early in the morning to the park before too many people would be there as sunday is always busy….so great …a bit cloudy ..with a strong wind …such a relief from the burning furnace lately :-)Walked slowly everywhere stopping occasionaly for a bite to eat and a cigarette.then came across this beautiful street cat and he took to me straight away ..was glued to me 🙂 shared my sandwich with him of course 🙂 then onto the water bicycle boat…but before we got on bought of course a double portion of mici with mustard and bread …so great to be on the middle of the lake with grilled meat away from the hordes of Bucharest!!! :-)Then the sun started burning again and slowly made our way back to home to fill you in with this useless information…but our day is great ..hope you all have a great day too 🙂
Just over one year ago…My friend the streetcat… 🙂
Time goes by a lot slower when you miss the one you love.
dogs cant harm her..
Light and darkness
leaders love to be applauded
but not beaten
with palms, of course
ground as pitch
pitch as darkness
darkness as a part of blame
blame through which you reach to light
bats have no view
and flies by night
God gave us eyes light
we work on day
and in nine cases from ten
we miss target
liderilor le place să fie aplaudaţi
atunci când se face discret un semn
dar să nu fie bătuţi din palme
oricât ar fi momentul solemn
pământul de smoală
smoala ca întunericul
întunericul ca o parte de vină
prin care ajungi la lumină
liliecii nu au vedere
şi zboară numai noaptea
nouă ne-a dat Dumnezeu lumina ochilor
lucrăm de regulă numai ziua
si în nouă cazuri din zece noi ratăm tinta

The Sparrow’s Nest
BEHOLD, within the leafy shade,
Those bright blue eggs together laid!
On me the chance-discovered sight
Gleamed like a vision of delight.
I started—seeming to espy
The home and sheltered bed,
The Sparrow’s dwelling, which, hard by
My Father’ house, in wet or dry
My sister Emmeline and I
She looked at it and seemed to fear it;
Dreading, tho’ wishing, to be near it:
Such heart was in her, being then
A little Prattler among men.
The Blessing of my later year
Was with me when a boy:
She gave me eyes, she gave me ears;
And humble care, and delicate fears;
A heart, the fountain of sweet tears;
And love, and thought, and joy.
